Some issues reach across the boundaries of individual communities. Often, they can only be addressed by working together. MARC creates a space for the Kansas City region to come together to find and implement solutions that create a community people are proud to call home.

What we're working on

The new public education website KCRainKeepers.org teaches Kansas City area residents how to reduce stormwater pollution and protect local waterways through simple, everyday actions.

Home Plus One: ADU Design Competition

Accessory dwelling units are a more affordable option than traditional homes, and when combined with universal design and age-friendly features, can be an ideal option for aging in place. Home Plus One is a design competition in collaboration with Communities for All Ages, the Greater Kansas City Regional Housing Partnership, and the R.L. Mace Universal Design Institute, with generous support from the William J. Brace Charitable Trust.

Government Training Institute

Expand your skills and explore new skills with training opportunities from MARC's Government Training Institute.

GTI's select and schedule courses are designed to meet many organizations' training and scheduling needs. You determine the course, then select a convenient time and location.
GTI partners with the LANTEC Corporate Training center to offer virtual, instructor-led courses in a variety of technical and professional skills.
